More of the same…

Last time I wrote I was telling you abotu Mathilda the Hun, our wrestling pro taxi driver. Well sadly she is a very poor taxi driver and was late to pick us up for our dinner at The Grand Flordian. So late we had to get another Taxi and missed out on a photo opp with an American Legend.

The Floridian was lovely and as an added bonus Disney World was open til midnight that night, so we hopped on the monorail and in our Sunday Best outfits I took the WoH up Thunder Mountain again (I know..it sounds like a euphamism..but stop it..) and we got some nice nighttime photos taken.

Day 4

We slept in and had a day away from Theme Parks. We took a jaunt down to Pirates Cove and experienced what Miniature golf was like in Pirate times. Quite easy as it turns out. We came back to the hotel and did some washing, had some food, some drink and that was it. We were both really under the weather after the activity of the previous days and a rest was much needed.

Day 5

Reinvigorated we hit Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. As per all the guide books we arrived very early and most of it was closed. The place was deserted and consequently had a bizarre seedy atmosphere. We walked onto some rides like the truly Amazing SpiderMan attraction It is a combination simulator, rollercoaster and 3D theater and has to be experienced.

After feeling slightly ripped off we went for some coffee and the park started to fill up. Gradually the rides opened up and we got the full benefit of the park. We got soaked on the Ripsaw Falls (twice) and Blutos Bilge Rat barges.

We marvelled at the Sinbad Stunt show and the Poseidon story which were very well executed, got scared on the Jurassic park boat ride and then won loads and loads and thousands and loads of tickets in the Arcade. Which we exchanged for..er..a pack of cards.

We then went somewhere to eat which led to our next adventure…
